THE winter Folk Festival brings the very best musicians to Cheltenham for its 12th year. Following a record breaking year in 2007 the festival features headliners Show of Hands, Brass Monkey and Three Magpies. Special for 2008 are performances by Jo Freya's Lal Project playing the beautiful songs of the late Lal Waterson on the 20th anniversary of her death and Down the Lawson Track featuring songs and music from the great Australian outback. As ever the festival also has great instrument, voice and dance workshops, dance teams strutting their stuff on Cheltenham's streets and a variety of stalls selling a range of goods.
